What we do with it, and what we do not
MoveCompass combines data from official UK government departments, public bodies, licensed APIs and open-data providers. We transform and combine these datasets to make area research easier — we do not adjust, estimate or fill gaps in them. Each source remains the owner of its underlying data.
Coverage is not the same everywhere
Crime is not published for Scotland. Council tax and school performance are England only. Scottish food hygiene uses Pass / Improvement Required rather than 0–5. Each tool states its own coverage, and the full coverage table sets out which nations every dataset reaches.
